Featured Fungus for April, 2005--Microsphaera platani Howe.
Native to North America, this fungus recently was recorded for the first time from Washington State where it was found causing powdery mildew of American Sycamore (Platanus occidentalis). The new record was published in the online journal Plant Health Progress (Glawe, D. A. 2003.
